Who Doesn't Love "Love"?

This is my latest piece; I completed it a few hours ago.  I call it Lovers Under the Sun.  Love has been on my mind a lot recently, for obvious reasons (those who know me understand).  I won't gush, I've done all that before, probably many times.  But, let's face it, love is a huge deal, we spend our lives either looking for love, falling in love or falling out of it until we finally connect with that one person who not only sets our hearts on fire, but our minds and souls as well. The person we see at their best and worst and who we allow to see us in the same conditions.  The person who you could strangle for their weird little habits, but you don't because in some strange way, even those weird habits are wonderful because they make that person who they are.  And let's face it, you shouldn't be too hard on them, you have some pretty strange ways yourself.

People often say when you pair up you become one.  It's true that you share a life and a home, and sometimes even the occasional thought at the same time, but really you become two individuals, both distinct, both with their own ideas, values, personalities and identities,  who join together and who together are stronger.  Like the crows in this piece, they are joined, but are still two distinct individuals.  That's a pretty awesome thing; as the old saying goes, ain't love grand?
