If You're Really an Artist, Act Like One

The artist. He's a real pain in the bum. He's complex, moody, sensitive, strange and will likely tick you off at some point. However, the world needs us artists, trust me. How do I know this? Well, look around at the world today, with all it's bullshi*. Ahhhh!!!!!!
Look at the politics of everything right now. It's sad. It's like a clown car filled with insane and paranoid zombies. All this ludicrous stuff going on with the "Please don't offend me" crapola. Please...
Then we have people who THINK they want to be artists, or even BELIEVE they are. Yikes! Let me tell you something, folks, real artists are few and far between, especially these days. Unfortunately, the '60's are gone and what we're  left with is bloody chickenshi^.
If you're overly concerned with how dressed up you are, who you're stroking to get ahead, you're no artist, you're a politician. If you're happy all the time, you're no artist. You see, real artists need their angst, their hard times, their searching, and then, ultimately, their resolve and strength. If you're always concerned with seeing how much butt you can kiss or always worried you may offend someone, you're no artist. How will you ever create anything that contains real, raw truth? How will you ever be able to really translate EVERYTHING in our world through art? You won't.
Leave the peeing on the leg to the politicians and shady business people. If you wanna be an artist, a creator, get REAL, get angry, get sad, get fired up get your head outta your rear end. ;)
