I like how this piece turned out, it's very different, yet a recognizable Parker painting. I like how unique it is and the colors and mood. You can almost feel the rain in the city. This is what real art is all about, in my opinion.
The woman in this painting is perhaps exploring this big city, maybe hoping to meet someone interesting. Perhaps she enjoys walking on a rainy night, I know I do. I always enjoyed walking around a big city, watching the people, wondering what they're thinking, and wondering about their stories.
On a rainy night, it's great to see how the light plays with the shadows.
Next time it rains on a beckoning evening, I reckon I'll be out and about, seeing what's going on and watching the light and shadows at play.
